Greetings! We hope you and your loved ones are safe. This pandemic has taught a lot to all of us and just like you, we are ready to get back to normal. As the governments are slowly opening up the cities, states and countries, we wanted to let you know that we have resumed normal operation which means we can provide elective as well as emergency dental procedures for everyone.

As some of you know, we remained OPEN through these 8 weeks mainly to do our part to reduce the burden on our hospital systems. We feel so proud to have played a role in flattening the curve so far. As you can imagine, we updated our already strict protocol for infection control as well as patient flow to keep everyone safe including our staff members. At Bright Smiles the safety of our patients and our staff members is our #1 priority. As a result we have further heightened our already strict sterilization standards and infection control practices in place in our office.

We are closely monitoring any guidelines and/or recommendations from state and federal agencies like OSHA, CDC, GDA & ADA to name a few. We are making sure on a daily basis our infection control processes are compliant with the regulations and mandates from these agencies. Rest assured we will always go above and beyond for the safety and well being of our patients and staff members.

For those of you that have not visited us in the last 8 weeks, as communicated in our previous video update, we have implemented some changes to the patient flow to keep everyone safe in our office. Specifically, we now do the following:

  • We screen every patient at the time of scheduling as well as during appointment confirmation calls by asking COVID-19 specific pre-screening questions.

  • We now ask our patients and visitors to call or text us before entering the office so we can take temperature upon arrival even before entering the office. If the temperature is elevated (100.4 or more) we will reschedule their appointment for a later date.

  • We now allow ONLY the patient and in rare situations a parent or guardian inside our office. We ask everyone else to wait in their car.

  • Upon entering we ask our patients to fill in COVID-19 questionnaire and consent form.

  • We no longer have magazines or beverage cups in our waiting room area to minimize the touch points in our office.

  • We have multiple hand sanitizing stations in the office. As you know we always had handsfree hand washing stations in all our treatment rooms..

  • The treatment room as well as any touch points like the door knobs, credit card terminals, ipads, pens etc … are thoroughly sanitized after every patient.

  • Our team members wear one or more additional personal protective equipment such as masks, face shields, protective clothing etc …

  • Until further notice our team members are instructed to strictly avoid hugs, handshakes, gathering etc … in our office among themselves or others.

We are sure you are concerned about your missed dental appointments as oral health is very important to maintaining good overall health especially in this environment. Rest assured we are here to help you catch up on your much needed preventive and elective dental procedures. Please call our office or click Request Appointment in the header to schedule an appointment with us. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to us as well.

We want to thank each and every patient that trusted us with emergency dental care during this difficult time. It means a lot to us. We are so glad to have helped you with your dental emergency. We also want to thank urgent care centers, ERs in the hospitals that sent us patients that needed emergency dental treatment.

Finally we want to give a shout out to all the frontline healthcare and other emergency care workers, first responders for your courage and commitment in fighting this pandemic. Together we have gotten through most of this and it’s only a matter of time before our life goes back to normal.

Be Safe and have a great summer!
